1. Should we be worried about sex robots?
Nah, I think they are great. Sure, some people could get addicted to them or have negative experiences but I think for the most part, a lot of people could benefit from having one. I would love to have one.

It's time for TMI Tuesday!

1. How replaceable are you?
Honestly? I don't think I'm very special. I have always felt expendable my entire life. I'm sure there will always be someone better that could replace me.

2. Does jealously have value in driving humans to improve themselves or is it a purely negative emotion?
Jealousy is only a negative emotion if you don't own it and communicate about why you are feeling that way. Sometimes jealousy should drive someone to improve themselves. Though, jealousy is often just a product of our brains lying to us.

3. A section of your life’s memories needs to be erased, which era will you elect to have erased?
a. childhood memories – age 3 to 12
b. teen and young adult years – age 13 to 23
c. adult – age 24 to 35
A. I would love to have my childhood memories erased. I had a horribly abusive childhood. My step-dad abused me physically, sexually, and emotionally. I'd love to forget all of that. There really weren't many good memories from the age of 3-12 in my life.

4. With no laws or rules to influence your behavior, how do you think you would behave?
I am way too innocent for my own good. I break small laws that I find to be completely ridiculous (I'm the u-turn queen) but I doubt I would ever do anything that people would consider bad.

5. Does anonymity encourage people to misbehave or does it reveal how people would choose to act all the time if they could?
I fully believe this to be the case.

I have a homemade face mask that a friend made for me. I also bought some from an online company that has switched from making clothing to making masks during the pandemic.

1. How replaceable are you?
There are days where I feel like there is no one that can replace me, where I feel so assured of my place in the world, at work, and at home and those are the days when I am having little to no mental health issues. Bad days will strip me of all of my confidence and I feel like I am one or two steps from replacement.

2. Does jealously have value in driving humans to improve themselves or is it a purely negative emotion?
I think jealousy can have value, but only if it is addressed and brought to light. By this, I mean searching for the reasons for the jealousy so that those parts can be worked upon to better oneself. I have come a long way in the ability to recognize the jealousy I harbor and to analyze it so that I may better understand myself.

3. A section of your life’s memories needs to be erased, which era will you elect to have erased?
a. childhood memories – age 3 to 12
b. teen and young adult years – age 13 to 23
c. adult – age 24 to 35
I feel like the most formative years for me as I can remember them was everything from my teenage years and beyond. I hardly recall much from my youngest years other than the fact they were difficult. I also have some difficulty recalling years during and after my initial skirmishes with depression around 17/18 years old. In that respect I feel like I've already stretched this and have memories erased. If I were to choose, I think I would remove my childhood memories.

4. With no laws or rules to influence your behavior, how do you think you would behave?
Uh, if the rules only no longer applied to myself, I would probably mostly carry on as I have, but would perhaps indulge myself in some of the darker recesses of my brain. If it applied to everyone I would do whatever I felt was needed to defend my family from all the other people who would love to have no tether to rules.

5. Does anonymity encourage people to misbehave or does it reveal how people would choose to act all the time if they could?
I think anonymity does both. I feel like the tail end would feed the mouth of the next in an unending loop that will just get bigger and bigger. Kind of like how America has become in the last few years under the current president.

I have both available to me, through work, as well as through friends who made some masks.

Time for TMI Tuesday questions – Would You Rather?




Ash:
1.Would you rather have one nipple or two belly buttons?
Hmmm, having two belly buttons to clean would be quite annoying. Though, having to breastfeed a baby with only one nipple available would be even more annoying. So, I'll take the extra belly button.

2. Would you rather always feel like someone is following you, but no one is, or always feel like someone is watching you, even though no one is?
I guess feeling like someone was watching me would cause less anxiety than feeling like someone was following me. I would think that someone following me would make me think they mean me harm. Someone watching me may just mean they are admiring me from afar.

3. Would you rather have sex in a cave frequented by tourists or sex in a treehouse in your parents’ backyard?
I think sex in a treehouse would be pretty hot. Sex in a cave sounds less hot because you would get a lot messier (dirt and such). Also, I really liked having sex in my in-laws' backyard.

4. Would you rather be unable to use search engines or unable to use social media?

As someone who has issues with paranoia both of these already really resonate with me. I don't think a day has gone by in years where either one of these has not felt like a reality. If I was forced to choose though, I would much rather feel like someone was watching me even if there was no one there; the level of tension and anxiety I get from that is much less than feeling like I am being followed.

I have always wanted a treehouse, not for this reason, but just in general. I think the idea of having a treehouse in my parents' back yard and having sex in that treehouse would just be an incredible amount of fun.

I would rather be unable to use social media. I already have anxiety issues that only seem to have become worse as the last few years have rolled along, and I feel like I could almost easily sidestep the whole social thing without much of an issue. Not being able to search for any random thing I want to fall down a rabbit hole about though would drive me crazy. I love being able to search for things to my heart's content.

5. Would you rather get one free round trip international plane ticket every year or be able to fly domestic anytime for free?
I would much rather take an international trip. It is still relatively easy for me to pick up and go somewhere domestically, but leaving the country and going anywhere definitely takes the cake for me.

1. What is the most useless thing you know how to do?
I can memorize the lyrics to a song after only hearing it once or twice and I remember it forever. I heard a song the other day that I hadn't heard since about 1995 and I still knew every word. This gets annoying when it's a song I can't stand. Then, I tend to sing it anyway and it gets stuck in my head.

2. Do you use sex to relieve stress? How?
I do. Actually, I am more likely to become stressed out if I haven't been having sex regularly. I need the stress fucked out of me for sure.

3. What sex act or position did not thrill you until you tried it?
Fisting. It was a hard limit for me for a long time. Then, Husband just did it one night and I realized that it was enjoyable. It makes me very sore for a few days though, so I don't have much sex for a few days after.

Thankfully, no.

I've been trying to find the time to learn to crochet. I think with some practice, I could be good at it.

Probably not. Hopefully, I will get rid of some of my volunteer responsibilities.

I really hope I don't have to.

I don't like taking risks. They are scary.

Time for myself. This is my resolution for 2020. I have filled all of my free time with volunteer work so that I could feel like I have a purpose. In doing that, I lost myself and had a mental breakdown. I have learned that having time for myself is important and it's okay to say no when I'm overwhelmed. It's going to be hard but I'm going to really try to make myself a priority.

1. What’s new with you?
I've been trying really hard to stop filling so much of my life with volunteer work. I had a mental breakdown a couple months ago because I wasn't taking care of myself. Trying to find that perfect balance is hard.

2. What do most people get wrong about you?

1. Do you think taking a break in a relationship works? Have you taken a break? Why do you say it worked or did not work?
Sometimes it can work. Husband and I broke up for 3 years and then got married. We are happier now than we were before the break. We both had things that we needed to work on within ourselves and being apart helped with that. Sometimes a break makes you realize how you feel about someone. I say it's worth a try. If it doesn't work, then at least you tried.

2. What is your ideal “break” in a relationship:
a. we stay monogamous but relax expectations on each other and each other’s time
b. we can see/date other people

None of these apply to us since we are polyamorous.

1. Do you think taking a break in a relationship works? Have you taken a break? Why do you say it worked or did not work?
I can speak from personal experience that, yes, sometimes taking a break in a relationship works. Back when Wife and I were first dating things got rough and rather difficult for both of us and we took a break. Things weren't very clear for me, and I rebounded right into a marriage that lasted three years. That marriage was a disaster, as I was trying to find a replacement for the person who mattered most to me, which is impossible. Those three years apart though made me older, and I like to think wiser. So when we came together with the second chance, we didn't pass it up. We took that chance and have been keeping at our relationship ever since. We are much happier and evolved since our time apart, and I think that the time apart saved us.

2. What is your ideal “break” in a relationship:

None of these apply to any relationship I have, being polyamorous for us renders this part a moot point.

I have had many unhealthy relationships throughout my life, but currently, the only relationship I have is a healthy relationship, and that is with Wife.

I believe my sexual creativity was stunted growing up by my upbringing, both by family and religion. When I first read this question I thought of how every person experiences death in their life. TMI Tuesday - Do your thang!

a. We don't do this as often as we should. I do try more often than Husband does but we could both do better. We tend to not be on our phones when we eat out at a restaurant though.
b. We go on family bike rides, hikes, and other outdoor activities. We have also worked out at home together occasionally. I'd love to do this more often but he doesn't have a lot of time for it.
c. We don't often kiss for an extended amount of time, especially in the morning.

2. Briefly tell us about a time when things felt helpless but you knew you would pull through.
When Husband broke up with his boyfriend, Trystan, I was heartbroken. I had fallen in love with Trystan and Husband just didn't feel the same way. There was a lot of emotional pain to sort through during that time. Things got very dark and cold between Husband and myself. There are many times when I feel helpless, and the majority of those times I have a difficult time feeling like I am going to pull through. 1. When you’re old, would you rather die before or after your significant other?
This is a pretty shit question. I'm probably going to be the one that dies first but I'd rather not be. Losing Husband would be very hard though. I'd like to say, "Can't we just die together?" I wouldn't want to put my kid through that though. Losing both parents at the same time would be awful.

2. Would you rather live at the top of a tall apartment building, in your favorite city, or at the top of a mountain?
I would rather live at the top of a mountain, though I hope it isn't too tall because I'm cold intolerant and thin air is a bitch.

I love the idea of growing my own food! I kill every plant I touch though. So, I'd rather sew all of my clothes.

When I'm old I would rather survive Wife, if only to spare her the heartache she may suffer at my loss. I would hope that somehow if it is required that we pass, that we would be able to do it together. We have had discussions about who we think is going to live longer before many times. I would most definitely choose to live on the top of a mountain over a tall apartment or city. Preferably not a really high altitude mountain because I don't want to deal with thin air or real cold temperatures. I imagine the morning and afternoon views would be breathtaking.
