It's time for TMI Tuesday! So much excitement!
Ash:
1. If you had a whole week (no work, no kids) to do things with your significant other, what would you do?
I would like to go to a beach where I would swim and have lots and lots of sex. Maybe not sex ON the beach because sand does not belong in my vagina. Sex somewhere near the beach would be perfect. Maybe somewhere that we could have sex outside where I could still feel the breeze off of the ocean on my bare skin.
2. What is your idea of a long-term relationship?
A long-term relationship is when two people are committed to each other. It's not just a fling to pass the time. Basically, two people who are in it for the long haul. They have feelings for each other and are doing their best to make it work.
3. What is a healthy relationship?
A relationship in which both people communicate openly and honestly, they are respectful and supportive of each other, and they nurture and love each other.
4. How did you meet your current (or last) lover?
I met my husband on AoL 18 years ago. Holy shit! I feel old. I met Jacob on the internet about 12 years ago.
5. What is the first thing you do after having sex?
I go to the bathroom to pee and then I go to sleep.
Bonus: Do you have any bad habits that you hide from your significant other? You can tell us…or not.
I think the only thing I hide from my husband is my self harm and anorexia. He knows I struggle with both of these but I don't tell him when I fail. He can usually figure out when I've been starving myself though and he almost always sees the marks from self harm because I'm naked around him every day. So, even though I don't tell him, he pretty much finds out anyway.
Husband:
1. If you had a whole week (no work, no kids) to do things with your significant other, what would you do?
A road trip to somewhere, most likely a coastal beach area, stopping frequently at random places to explore, all the while enjoying each other intimately in as many places as possible.
2. What is your idea of a long-term relationship?
I think anything over six months starts treading into the long term relationship label, then again I have never really given much thought as to what constitutes a long term relationship. *shrug* I dunno.
3. What is a healthy relationship?
A healthy relationship is something that requires a lot of work and heart. It isn't something that just happens. Trust, communication, honesty, common goals, common ideals all help navigate towards a good model of a healthy relationship.
4. How did you meet your current (or last) lover?
Online, back when AOL was a big deal, and your ability to customize your online profile meant searching for alt codes for interesting characters and looking up codes for colors.
5. What is the first thing you do after having sex?
Lay down, stretch out, and breathe (sometimes nod off for a bit). I usually will grab myself something to drink as well.
Bonus: Do you have any bad habits that you hide from your significant other? You can tell us…or not.
I used to not communicate my thoughts and feelings very well and would hide them inside, which covers that question quite well I believe. I have worked pretty hard to turn that around and be open and honest. I have to be diligent because it is easy for me to fall back into myself.
